SST in your organization
SST can be learned by all mental health practitioners, either as a form of psychotherapy or as an addition to the work of your team.
As well as in private practice, SST is widely used in various healthcare organisations and bodies. Practised since the mid-80s at Kaiser Permanente, the largest US healthcare provider, today SST is a service offered by private and public organisations all over the world.
It is offered as an addition or supplement to existing services in order to increase their effectiveness. In fact, it has been proven that SST and its principles heighten the effectiveness of therapy and reduce treatment times, thus reducing costs and waiting times and increasing access for patients.
As well as therapists, many people who work in health and social care (such as nurses, physiotherapists, social workers etc) train in SST principles to improve their results and patient satisfaction.
